From Bon Jovi’s Always, a 1994 power ballad of great standing in the world of girly-swoonage:
“I’ll be there till the stars don’t shine
Till the heavens burst and the words don’t rhyme”
Now, given that the words don’t rhyme, that “shine” does not rhyme with, well, “rhyme”, there are at least two possible interpretations:
1. Jon Bon Jovi wants to “be there”, but his subconscious has made him reveal the truth, unwittingly. He won’t “be there”.
2. Jon Bon Jovi is admitting that he is faithless and is warning you that he won’t “be there”. But you need to pay attention to figure it out.
Either way, you can’t say you weren’t warned.
